This project reflects on the dual nature of technology—its power to improve lives, but also its potential for irreversible harm, referencing the Chernobyl disaster.
Set in a quiet but haunting school environment, familiar spaces like classrooms, hallways, and stairwells become symbols of vulnerability. The environment was modeled in Maya, including the school interior and gas mask, with textures for the mask created in Substance Painter.
Scene assembly and rendering were done in Unreal Engine, using Megascans assets for desks, dolls, ashes, and various other objects and background textures.
Final compositing and color work were completed in Nuke and DaVinci Resolve.
